Katie Carroll is a certified personal trainer and group exercise coach through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) located in Northern Virginia. She began her fitness journey more than 20 years ago after giving birth to her son. During her pregnancy, as many women do, she packed on the pounds. At the time, her husband was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. What began as a walk to the gym to get free childcare quickly turned into a passion for fitness and there was no turning back. As much as Katie loved to push others, she wanted to push herself. She began bodybuilding and competing successfully in the National Physique Committee (NPC), a national level bodybuilding competition. Today, she is focused on finding balance with her family and friends, food, fun, and fitness! After being in the fitness industry for so many years, Katie tries to keep it simple and help her clients focus on calories in vs. calories out to achieve their fitness goals. She is currently offering one on one personal training, group training, nutrition guidance and workout plans.


Throughout my career in the fitness industry, I have come across many women that feel intimidated about going to the gym and the people in the gym. In reality, many of the people that these women are intimidated by are really great people that are misunderstood. Just like Pit Bulls are misunderstood and labeled, many gym goers are misunderstood and labeled. I want to break the mold and labels with the name Pit Krew Fitness and show people how great the people at the gym can be just like my Pit Bulls.
